Hartline is quite possibly the most overrated WR in the NFL right now. He should not be any higher than 4th WR on any depth chart. He can’t score TDs, he doesn’t get YAC. He runs a 10 yard comeback route really well, but that’s IT. He is always tackled immediately after the catch. Let him walk and realize that NO ONE is going to pay him the money he wants. I wouldn’t sign him for any more than $3 million/year and that’s a stretch. There are a dozen or so FA WRs this year who are better than Hartline.

Hartline is a good route runner and has good hands . Last i checked, thats the making of a very good reciever …..speed isnt that great but he is ok so i would like miami.to.keep him for a good price if he wants too much..just let him go…but for the record he is a pretty good reciever…the thing is that almost everyone on miami’s team is expendable because we aren’t even a contender so i agree they need talent ..but if it means breaking the bank, i think they should be patient because next year wont be a jump to superbowl contention…..not even rome was built in a day

I have to agree with vaphinfan…

The Browns have the most Cap and Wallace would be in the same Division AFC North. Likewise, the Bengals (not so much) and Colts with money. If I were Wallace I go to Indy. The money, indoors lends to speed and the strongest NFL arm in Luck. Do they need a WR… Yes!Reggie Wayne can’t play forever. C’mon who saw P.Manning going to Denver this time last year? We all said Miami and Arizona. Money and scenarios is what these Agents push on their guys. Expect the unexpected.

I like Hartline resigned especially with Bowe already signed. This leaves overpriced Jennings and rediculous unproven, bad attitude Wallace about to get the largest WR Contract in history. Boo!

Well… for a guy that came in injured outta training camp and was discounted due to the fact that it was a quote ‘new offense’ and all… all to step up and win the starting WR job for Tannehill.

He deserves the money in my book!!!

I can see them resigning hartline, going after jared cook and maybe another under the radar free agent, then going wr 1st pick of the draft. I would like to see Wallace but dont think they will outbid the browns with all their cap space.

Question his ability to get open? Only in the red zone. He’s got great hands on medium passes on the sideline. He is MONEY getting two feet in and very fast! You need to get Sunday Ticket and actually watch some Dolphin games.

Good hands, good catches, but i question his ability to get open. I think he would better fit a slot or #4 wr in a spread offense….not the dolphin offense. I dont think hes worth more than 4 mil a year considering he had one decent year.

Did somebody above really say that Hartline has better moves than Bess? Don’t get me wrong, Bess is no Travon Austin after the catch, but has Hartline ever made anyone miss? He’s very below average when it comes to running with the ball in his hands. Bess makes people miss, he’s just very easy to catch from behind.

Hartline is more important than many fans realize. He clicks with Tannehill and that is huge. He has great hands and can get open 1 on 1 but he struggles with double teams. Hartline + Bess in slot + a true #1/ deep threat would be pretty dangerous with Tannehill.

Hartline had one great game last season which over inflated his stats. I still remember the game where he’s running down the sideline alone and instead of running through the catch he dives and the defender catches up and touches him on the ground. You don’t pay a guy (anything more than 4 mil a year) who has only 6 TDs in four seasons.

I have a feeling a lot of Dolphin fans are setting themselves up for disappointment. I don’t think that Miami is going to spend as much as everybody thinks. Ireland does not overpay. The last time Miami overspent, Par cells was min charge. It took Miami 4 years to get in good financial position. Why would people want them to go nuts’and spend all of their cap space on four or five players? They need to build through the draft and find value in free agency

Hartline is worth more to the Dolphins than he would be to any other team. Put a deep threat across from him and he’s a cheap, under-the-radar starter. He didn’t even have a deep threat last year and managed 1000 yards. Miami and more importantly Ryan Tannehill need him back.

As previously posted I like Hartline for about $5 mil. give or take.

The move also provides roster protection as Davone Bess has one year left on his deal.

Landing a Wallace and a receiver by round two would allow Hartline to move to the slot as a larger version of Bess with equitable hands and better moves and speed.

Keeping Hartline is important. Especially with Bess an UFA next year. Wallace Bess and Hartline are a formidable corps. As long as a quality tight end is drafted. Now we can focus on that, a RT. safety and a CB. Hartline would wind up a Patriot to replace Welker if we didn’t sign him. GUARANTEED
