I’m not so sure that Jerry won’t play the Spencer trade card when the draft rolls around. Jerry likes to make a splash in the draft and that would do it.

Tagging Spencer is probably better then letting the braintrust of Jerry and JG select FAs. The only guys I was thinking would fit nicely would’ve been Michael Johnson (tagged) or Paul Kruger who plays a lot with a hand in the dirt.

Let’s hope Spenc doesn’t get complacent 2 yrs from now, once he’s paid.

Guessing the cowboys didn’t see anyone at their pick who could step in and match Spencer’s production probably going to take oline now in round 1 even though Eddie Lacey with Demarco Murray’s injury problems would give them a heck of a backfield

Not fighting over the $600K difference will prevent the player and his agent from looking like greedy idiots, since they would lose that battle based on CLEAR language in the CBA.
