I think raiders need tommy kelly back. With chiefs tagging branden a., good chance o-line is there when we go with third pick. Just ask tommy to be a team leader and re-do his contract. He has got at least 3 good years left.

Not a good move. Take care of the contracts first then see where we sit with money. This is not a good move. There Is a reason he is getting passed on. Its callef EGO! He wants a big number for a lack of production or he would be employed by now. Lets stop buying other teams junk. Those days are over unless we can get a steal player in Fa with our cap problems.

Unless he is willing to sign for the minimum it’s just a courtesy visit for Jenkins.The Raiders cap situation will prevent he and many other free agents from coming to Oakland.

If he is heading to his fourth visit, maybe fifth, why hasn’t he been signed? What is the “cleary he has something to offer a new team” part? He is not coming from a top defense. Buyer beware.

The Raiders aren’t nearly as good as the Panthers. The Panthers have a way better core of young talent, and at least a semblence of front office structure and ownership. The Raiders have been a mess for years dude.

On the Jenkins thing though, Cullen wasn’t exactly lighting up for the Eagles last year. To say he still has a lot to offer may be true in the leadership department, but his play on the field last year was certainly below average at 32.

As an addenum to my last comment, according to Spotrac.com, Kelly would count 6.3 million in dead money against the cap if cut, but his cap charge is if he stays is 11.1 million. Given the 4.8 million in savings and Kelly’s declining play, I don’t think this is a very tough call for McKenzie and Allen to make.

With the Raiders cap situation, I doubt very much they could offer him any more than a contender.

That said, here’s hoping Reggie gives Tommy Kelly the axe and use the savings to pay Jenkins.

Cullen and Reggie are tight. Jenkins could fill the void of veteran lineman with Seymour gone.

I doubt the RAIDERS will have the $$$ to make him interested, but at least they had him to the facility. You never know…
