Arian Foster is quitting Twitter

Arian Foster, the Houston Texans running back who has used Twitter to display the results of his MRI and to publish bulletin-board material to fire up his teammates, says he’s getting off social media.

Foster wrote on Monday that he has decided to leave Twitter behind because it’s “Time for me to leave the digital realm.”

Foster’s best-known tweet came when he posted an image of his MRI and described the injury in his hamstring by writing that the “white stuff surrounding the muscle is known in the medical world as anti-awesomeness.” Foster also announced on Twitter before training camp last year that he was becoming a vegan, and turned his Twitter profile into a locker room bulletin board by using it to publicize the negative comments from a Boston columnist about the Texans’ chances against the Patriots.
