The Bears traded Olson for a 3rd round pick and then traded that pick (with their own 3rd rounder) for Brandon Marshall.

3rd round pick acquired from Olsen trade was used in trade that sent two 3rd round picks to Miami for Brandon Marshall.

Also, while Olsen has improved while in Carolina, in Chicago he averaged a pathetic 10.2 yards/catch, which for a guy of his speed is pretty pathetic.

Olsen was paid with a 5 year/$22 million contract. Jared Cook might wind up being more expensive then that, and thus out of Chicago’s grasp potentially, but I think Cook is more worth the money
