Mike Lombardi, and Billy Belichik were on the path to bringing one to Cleveland once before, it was Art Modell that threw a wrench in that wheel by moving the team to Baltimore. The Browns leave in 1999, the Ravens win the SB in 2001, and Billy wins it in 2002.. If I were Cleveland I’d be glad to finally bring back someone important to that era. They tried with Mangini, but lets face it, he was basically just a ball boy for the Browns in the 90′s, Lombardi was actually key in helping Belichik build the roster that won the 2001 Super Bowl, and the philosphy that won the 2002 Super Bowl. Cleveland should happy with this move.

That’s all good but the Browns left Cleveland after the 1995 season, Lombardi was gone soon after in early 1996.

Don’t read too much into what he did there from the 2001 Ravens. He was and is considered a failure during those years with the Browns.

Well you must not have been “here” for awhile because that same pLayed out comment has been posted by several other”poor mans Seinfelds” weeks ago when the browns hired Lombardi. It was funny the first 5 times I saw it however. I think the browsn have put together one of the top new staffs in this offseason, (minus Lombardi) hopefully that translates into wins! GO BROWNS!
