Can’t blame Washington for being defensive on the subject because Irsay is absolutely correct. With 3 RD1′s and an RD2 pick invested in Griffin, Redskins shoulda been waaaaay more protective of their player investment.

Now if the Skins had a 1st round pick in 2012 #6 and traded positions with St. Louis in 2012 to #2 that means they still had a #1 they didn’t give up anything at this point, in addition to swapping places they GAVE up their 1st in 2013 and 2014 this = 2 not 3 1st given up, now do we understand class??? It’s ok to be hater but at least have your facts right!

There are a lot folks out there saying things like the Redskins gave St. Louis 3 extra first round picks for Robert Griffin. In that sense you are right and they are wrong, but this guy didn’t say that.

He said they “invested” three first round picks and a 2nd round pick in Robert Griffin. That’s true, the “investment is the what it cost the team to draft Griffin. The Redskins spent 3 firsts and one second to get Griffin: that includes the one they actually spent to pick Griffin.

But with that line – and the lack of scary WRs (Garcon / Davis hurt, etc.) it was Griffin and Morris versus 11…. the play action and the treat of a Griffin run made it all happen last year… if you think otherwise then I appologize for your inability to watch and understand the game of football.

Skins fans have certainly paid for their arrogance last season…. As short-lived as it was.

It’s one guy. One guy. And he’s clearly not a Redskins fan. Why would any fan work so hard to make sure every other fan base thought the entire Washington fanbase were a bunch of arrogant, raving lunatics.

Now this problem is twofold sure the coaches are primarily to blame why would you expose Griffin to so many hits…. sending him out as a WR is a fine gimmick but unless coverage is totally blown don’t make that throw.

Second if he runs faster on field turf (I am old school and hate to say this) why wouldn’t you install an artificial surface and play to his speed or agility 8x per year.

Last – I know he feels pressure – but Griffin has got to be convinced that he has to pick his runs better – throw the ball away when necessary and practice sliding and getting out of bounds.

Oh and owners of other teams can go pound sand and fill their pie hole’s with ummm …. pie.

It’s sound advice and it’s not like the guy is wrong. It’s ironic that the DC media has been Snyder bashing since he bought the team (didn’t he sue them a couple years back for defamation) but if someone else does it they’re up in arms about it.

Each had their careers marred/cut short by injuries. Do I blame Irsay? No. It’s football, and at the pro level it’s a very dangerous game. Guy’s get hurt.

And there’s nothing wrong with playing on real grass.

As you can tell with our kid gloves handling of Manning that the Irsay way is to not put pressure to return on an injured QB.

I do agree if RGIII was a Colt, the team would have gone farther in the playoffs and he’d still be %100 healthy.
