Unless I'm missing something, I dont remember the part where it said Leodis was going to get a massive contract. He was a first round pick that never turned out to be a great corner. If he resigns, the contract is going to reflect his value.

As far as Levitre goes, yes I would love to see the Bills resign him. He has been a great lineman for the Bills. But, the consenus is that some other team is going to offer him a crazy contract that the Bills will never be able to match. I would like to see them at least offer him a deal, but I don't expect him back in Buffalo, the money will be too good elsewhere.

A)He is absolutely atrocious in coverage
B)He IS one of the best return men in the league
C)Pretty sure that was roscoe parrish that muffed that punt.

All this adds up to how much is a good special teams player worth.

Leodis McKelvin is one of the worst defensive players in the NFL. He's not even that great of a kick returner. He single handedly lost the Monday night game in 2009 to the Patriots when he fumbled a kick return in the last minute of the game. Every time he steps foot on the field the opposing quarterback singles him out by throwing to the WR McKelvin is covering because everyone knows he cannot play D. He is downright dreadful in the secondary. So the Bills let him go and now they want to bring this loser back?!?!?! He wouldn't make it on any other NFL team. #TurningIntoAGiantsFanMoreEveryYear

I'm from Buffalo albeit I am a Dolphins fan (go figure), but this is classic Bills procedure...sign the cheapest guys who make minimal difference on either side of the ball and let the quality guys who earn bigger contracts go. Levitre has already said he'd love to stay if the Bills would atleast give him a competitive offer, but they havnt even contacted him. You don't snub quality players willing to take a discount for you like that. McKelvin is a return specialist, whenever someone gets burned for a td it's usually him. He has no defensive value. You can find a kick returner for much cheaper or even in the draft for even less. This is why the Bills settle outside the playoff hunt every year. They take a step forward last yr by the Williams signing and then they let a guard like Levitre walk with no effort to keep him. Gotta take care of the little things to be a playoff team. This regime will never make it.
