Five months after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee, New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has been able to take another step in his recovery process as he has been able to resume running.

Even if it’s only on a treadmill.

According to Andrea Kremer of NFL.com, Revis began running again on a treadmill Monday as he continues to progress from the knee injury that ended his 2012 season. Revis didn’t run with his full weight on the leg just yet as he had about 45 pounds of weight lifted from his frame.

Kremer gave an update on Revis during a segment on NFL Total Access Thursday night. Kremer has been given access to Revis’ recovery as the league is producing a documentary series based on his rehabilitation process. Revis is expected to begin running again outdoors within four to six weeks (with the full weight of his body on the leg) and hopes to be healthy by the start of training camp in July.
