I honestly believe that the recovery will have to continue through next year.

The team is already starting to turn the corner with a youth movement. Sorry Carson Palmer but with Terrell Pryor under center I was not expecting an interception. Dennis Allen is getting the attitude and effort aligned on the field that is needed to win.

A long term plan for success was launched last year and the Raiders are about 1/3 of the way through it. The organization did not get in this situation over night and it will not get out of it over night.

I think they just turned a big chunk of his salary into a signing bonus that they can spread into the future. He still gets his this season, but McKenzie now holds a Tyvon Branch credit card that he has to make payments on after the grace period expires.

Branch was nothing like his old self last season.

As for Carson? I hope we can get him back, without him we would be 0-16 last year. How he amassed 4,000+ yards in Greg Knapp’s throw to the tight end offense anonymous receivers and tight ends is beyond me.

Hue got DHB to be a productive member of the offense. Before it was Zach Miller leading the team in catches with WR’s barely even being targeted. He must have some skeletons in his closet that hes only a running backs coach 2 years removed.

Hopefully Greg Olsen (who?) can find the dynamic this offense had going for it. But after seeing what Denver has done 1 year removed from the Josh McDaniels debacle isn’t encouraging for us. I hate John Elway, but you got to give him his due, he put together a team that can win now.
