I never once mentioned the packers game as the reason they were lucky to make the playoffs but obviously that did help. I was more refering to the games against the bills, cardinals and rams to close the season.

every team in the league played patsies. they played one of the top 5 toughest schedules in the league. you can list the teams you did, but you seem to forget the 1-1 record against the 49ers, and the wins against New England, Minnesota, and Washington.

As for the playoffs, you seem to be short on facts there too. we were 11-5. take the Pack game (fail Mary), out of it and we were 10 and 6 and in the exact same 5th seed slot.

The Jets are also going to need help at safety with the Incredible Hulk, aka the Dirty 30, asking WAY too much money to be picked up on a team that is already overpaying too many players.

Cardinals twice, rams twice, bills, jets, dolphins, lions, panthers, cowboys doesn’t equal a tough schedule sorry. I actually watch these teams play and they are far from tough. All I was saying was lets not jump the gun and call them a superbowl contender after one good year in which they were lucky to make the playoffs.

Have you ever heard of Peanut Tillman? He led EVERYONE last year in forced fumbles, including DEs and pass-rushing LBs in 2012, including an unprecedented 4 in a single game.

Peanut is just ahead of fellow Bears Julius Peppers and Richard Dent at #8 for forced fumbles in the NFL all-time. And that is as a CB!

Granted, Woodson was hurt in 2012, but if you look at 2011, he doesn’t even rank in the top 100 (he only had one.) Tillman averages 3.8 FF/year, Woodson 1.93 FF/year.

If you are referring to interceptions only, over the last 3 years he is ranked 22nd, behind Peanut as well as his fellow teammate Tim Jennings.

Woodson’s tackling form, however, is solid. His numbers, on the other had, have to be taken with a grain of salt as the other 10 players do not exactly excel in tackling, or defense in general.

Trufant in Nickle last year played about 40% of the snaps, that’s a huge amount of snaps in the season to have someone who can’t cover anymore.
