Getty ImagesJets defensive lineman Mike DeVito appears to have piqued the interest of several teams, according to multiple reports published Saturday.
Per Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, the Jets want to strike a deal with DeVito before free-agent signings can commence on Tuesday. Cimini reported that a “handful of teams” had looked into DeVito.
Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger reported that six teams have “inquired” about the 28-year-old DeVito, who started 15 games for the Jets in 2012.
A defensive tackle in the Jets’ 3-4 front, the 6-foot-3, 305-pound DeVito has recorded more than 50 tackles in two of the last three seasons. He became a regular starter in 2010.

Every poster here is getting interest from 3, 4 teams…
Solid, lunch pail type of player.
Hope Jets re-sign him.
Yikes, the Jets.
Fingers out of your noses on three…
Now type!!
re-sign with the JETS, Danny!!!
Raiders.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Devito primarily a DE?
There is no way he goes back to the JETS, last year he had an opportunity in the last game to meet his incentive for % of snaps played, and they sat him down right before he could make it. He just bought a house in Bangor ME, and would look great in a PATS uniform.
“Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Devito primarily a DE?”
Devito spends most of his time as a 3-4 DE, but can play DT as well.

Yup, you are correct. He never really played nose tackle prior to this season, if I recall. Pouha and Ellis having injuries at the same time gave rise to all his playing time there.
He’s really pretty mediocre or worse at nose, but he’s a phenomenally useful 3-4 DE.
wouldnt mind my colts snagging him for the low
