Redskins stike deal with Lichtensteiger

The legal non-tampering tampering period applies only to discussions between impending free agents and new teams.  All teams remain fully authorized to re-sign their own free agents.

The cap-strapped Redskins have done just that.

According to Mark Maske of the Washington Post, the Redskins have agreed to terms with offensive lineman Kory Lichtensteiger.  It’s a five-year deal.

Signed in 2010 after spending 2008 with the Broncos and Vikings.  He has started 35 regular-season games in three seasons with the Redskins, including all 16 in 2012.

Darn thought he would be a nice replacement for Andy Levitre who will move on to become a fPro Bowl player. @footballady52 🏈

Yeah, the Giants DLs totally dominated our OLine these last couple of years. Except that they DIDN’T did they? LOL

This is a good move by the Skins. They’re working to keep together the core of a 10-6 team.

As expected team seeks continuity along the line if steiger stays healthy he’s a solid zone blocking guard… Jolly good, front office now if only we could make a play for Eric Winston
