Jets linebacker Josh Mauga is the latest potential restricted free agent to sign a smaller deal to stay put.
According to Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger, Mauga agreed to a one-year deal. It will be for less than the $1.3 million tender required to retain RFAs.
Mauga was a good special teams player and backup for the Jets, but he missed most of last season with a torn pectoral muscle.
