Getty ImagesKicker Mike Cofer won a pair of Super Bowls with the 49ers in the late 1980s. Burglars recently pilfered both of them.
According to the Associated Press, someone broke into Cofer’s home on Thursday, while he was attending his son’s high school baseball game.
The thieves also made off with a coin collection, an Xbox console, and several Xbox games.
“Something that you cherish, something that you feel proud of, put a lot of hard work into, and someone thinks they deserve it more than you do,” Cofer said.
Wait, is he talking about the rings or the Xbox?

It’s because the punishment for thievery in this country is a joke. If you get caught red handed in other countries, they cut your hands off. How is that not fair again?
He must have had them on display. Either that, or Warren Sapp was involved.
This sucks. I know how he feels. My place was broken into while I was deployed over in Kuwait. No mercy for thieves. None.
If you are hungry, steal food. Not stuff. That is what is wrong with the poor in this country. They want STUFF. Get a job if you want stuff. Leave my stuff alone.
Can he still kick???
Mike’s wife been nagging him to “put down that darn console, get out of the house, and let’s watch the kids play ball or something…Do us a world of good.”.
How are you going to make a joke like this when he just lost 2 of his most prized possessions which were a symbol of his life’s work? Poor taste.
Not surprising. About a month ago the local paper did a story on Cofer living in Vegas discussing his championships. WIth information comes opportunity.
Where is this piece of waste thief going to sell them? Eventually they’ll catch this a-hole and I’ll bet you all a case of beer that the thief was a druggie looking for stuff to sell to support his habit. Remember that when people tell you drugs are a “victimless crime”
On this episode of of Pawn Stars..
I wonder if there is anything on the rings that would make them identifiable as his when the thief tries to sell them.
