The writer implies the Cowboys have something else to fear next year by using the words “providing relief now which WILL HAVE TO BE ACCOUNTED FOR”.

Of course, all pro-rated bonuses have to be accounted for in subsequent contract years. I think the writer should have pointed out more clearly that the Cowboys will have an additional $5 Million cap space next year to more easily cover the relief they’re getting now.
