Potentially a stud WR out of the slot, a good punt returner, no character issues, young, not going to demand an outrageous contract, etc. Lots of upside for any team.

I doubt it’s the Ravens, a big aspect of this guy’s game is punt returner and the Ravens have that in Jacoby Jones and the re-signed (and terrible) David Reed. The Pats being linked to Cribbs (another returner) as well as juggling a stable of recievers makes me think it’s them, and the Vikes need any sort of WR, plus they’ve seen the guy up-close and personal. Both teams have a lot of cap room, my bets on them.

As a Rams fan (which I am), I wish Danny the best, and hope he can find good health wherever he ends up, but I’ll gladly (given their respective age) “trade” Amendola, Jackson and Mikell for J. Long, Cook, and Delmas.

Enough of the baseless “players don’t want to come because of Ponder” balogna. That is just disgruntled, ignorant fan-talk projecting your OWN opinion into the real world.

The only one who was promoting that was Percy Harvin. And that moron didn’t realize that BECAUSE of Ponder throwing him the ball every friggin time he was leading the league in receptions and YAC when he got hurt.

Not a reality.

Vikings won 10 games last year with Ponder at the helm, and you same idiots who were drooling to have Joe Webb play QB finally got to see the difference between Webb and an actual QB in the playoff game…

If a WR won’t come to Minny. cuz of the QB situation then forget them.

They have RB that can help them. pretty much as an above average QB.

I am not close to a Viking fan, and I don’t see many Rams games.

Is Bradford (-Steven Jackson) that far ahead of Chirstian Ponder with AP?

5.9 yards per target and 7 touchdowns for his career. In his “good” season he had 6.6 YPT and 3 scores on 101 passes thrown his way. I thought the point was to make the team better.
Nobody would even know his name if his NFL.com NFL comparison was say Eddie Royal instead of Julian Edelman

As a Vikings fan, it would break my heart if even Amendola won’t come here because of Ponder. He’s a good player and we need him. But if he doesn’t like our QB situation, then I hope the Vikings realize Ponder is doing us more harm than good with getting good players coming here.

He’s been rumored to the Pats because he’s supposed to be some sort of Welker clone. He’s not even close. He’s more similar to Edelman. Looks the part, not nearly as talented and can’t stay healthy. He’s never had 700 yrds receiving in a yr.

Ravens and Texans would have no reason to request secrecy because there are no scenarios where negotiations with their own free agents would be affected. Vikings appear to have nothing to hide after the departure of Harvin and having already disclosing their needs. That leaves the Patriots (hmmmm) who coincidentally do have a complicated and sticky situation on their hands with all three of their free agent receivers. This does not appear to fall into the category of Rocket Science.
