This is a great example of how virtual privacy is under attack. The rules are constantly evolving and security is being tested every hour. From the huge banks to the NFL, hacking is a huge and very real problem. The NFL needs to update their IT security policy to keep up to date with these “20 something” college kids that know the holes in the internet better than most heads of security. Cyber crime is real and in this case both of these teams need to look at their current IT infrastructure and make some adjustments.

virtual privacy? Was the phone call cloud based? lol… What does the I.T Security policy have to do with anything? This is directly related to the phone systems. most likely the call was made via cellphone and not landline otherwise they would have had to wiretap. the teams I.T security administrator could not do anything about an incident like this.

In reality though, I doubt these kids had malicious intent. There are bigger fish to fry than two kids eavesdropping on a telephone call.

I was envisioning a scenario where the pranksters lawyers argued their clients were parties to the conversation, with their contribution to the conversation subtle and prior to the recording. That wouldn’t matter in FL

YEAH SOME HACK JOB! They called the Bills front office and said they were Mark Dominik and were forwarded directly to Buddy’s number. The kids hung up when he answered because they never thought they would get through. Then Buddy kept calling back the wrong number over and over again until the next morning – when the kids decided to try the other end – and were patched through to Dominik’s line.
Some high-level IT cyber crime there! How about professionals confirming who they have on the line?
