When we published a team-by-team list of free agents last month, we forgot to list Bengals quarterback Bruce Gradkowski.

We realized our error when Gradkowski personally emailed us.

The Steelers didn’t forget Gradkowski. Per multiple reports, the Pittsburgh native will visit Pittsburgh.

The seven-year veteran had one of his best days against the Steelers in 2009, while playing for the Raiders. He led the 14-point underdog Raiders to a 27-24 win at Heinz Field, completing 20 of 33 passes for 308 yards, three touchdowns, no picks, and a 121.8 passer rating.Along the way, Gradkowski became the first Raider quarterback to throw three fourth-quarter touchdown passes since Ken Stabler in 1979.

The Steelers need a solid backup for veteran Ben Roethlisberger. Byron Leftwich and Charlie Batch are both unrestricted free agents.
