As Adam Schefter of ESPN first reported on Twitter and as we have confirmed, 49ers safety Dashon Goldson will be visiting the Buccaneers.
Goldson played for San Francisco under the franchise tag in 2012, but the Niners did not tag him a second time.

Got home from the gym to see this.. happy to see my bucs targeting him. Goldson is a solid all around saftey. Known for his hard hits but still good, not great, in coverage. Him and Barron would be the two hardest hitting saftey duo’s in the NFL. People who don’t know who Barron is search his hit on RG3 on youtube..
Im and Eagles fan and I def want this guy. But is Philly really an attractive team for a FA anymore?
The Bucs seem to smell blood in the water and are clearly being active in shopping for players. Having a Pro Bowl-esque RB on the roster for next to no pay, you can afford to make that push.
Regardless where he goes, he will automatically be classier not being a 49er.

Die hard Niner fan here and I hate to see Goldson go..He may not be the best in coverage but this cat can play ball..People under estimate how much a physical presence like his has such an effect on the field..Ive seen this dude light a reciever up in the 1st quarter and literally watch more than one reciever alligator arm balls the rest of the game..Plus hes awesome at stopping the run.Hes a great pick up by any team and Ill miss watching him on Sundays..Goodluck Goldson!

Bucs fans can’t talk trash to Eagles fans. Your team is not relevent at all. This is why the Rams and Bucs were the teams picked to go to the UK because nobody cares. Even if the Eagles have ZERO super bowls were still a top 5 media market team and will continue to see tons of cap money and big name players. So we can be the dream team, dynasty, whatever unoriginal remark you want to use. But the bottomline is that we will always be a headline team and the bucs well…. they will continue to be the 3rd best nfl team in florida.

@bobonmycob… Your city is a rat hole, even if Tampa Bay never wins another superbowl, their irrelevent franchise has still accomplished something great, the Eagles never have. Even with a weaker media market, they still have something in their relevent trophy case that the Eagles do not. When times get tough, the Buccaneer fans can still cling to the fact, they were once the best team in Pro-football… the Eagle fans can’t. So you can act like your city matters, but when it comes to football, all Philadelphia is good for is a great joke. Like I can say, my Raiders suck, but atleast we aren’t the Eagles.
