A word of warning to the Titans’ QB, hit Delany in the numbers and don’t expect him to ‘catch’ with his hands.

But he will be extremely helpful to CJ because Delany is a great blocking TE.

Classic free agency overpay. DW’s role was not the classic NFL story. Came to SF as a big wide receiver from a tiny school and just hung around for years as Alex Smith and the offense struggled with lame offensive coaches before Harbaugh arrived. His blocking really improved and is good at special teams. Too short to be the main guy at TE though at around six feet. Seems like Titans rushed into this with better options out there. They agreed about an hour after FA started? Looks like DW’s agent won this one.
