Getty ImagesIt’s not quite the Dream Team. But it’s a team. And they have a dream. And they have new players.
The Eagles have announced that tight end James Casey has agreed to terms. It’s a three-year deal.
The fifth-round pick in 2009 has been extremely versatile for the Texans, lining up in different places and providing a potent complement to tight end Owen Daniels.
He had a career-high 330 receiving yards in 2012. For his career, Casey averages 11.4 yards per catch.

Championship!
Mike, great opening! I was cracking up. As an Eagles fan I’m really tired of hearing about the “Dream Team”, however, that was clever. Good stuff man.
Ugh. I think this is yet another Texan we’ll watch blossom in another city.
Solid run blocker at the TE position. Not a great pass catcher, but we got Celek in that role. Mccoy and Brown should be happy. Great signing!

His final season at Rice he had 111 receptions for 1329 yards and 13 TDs. Just because the Texans didn’t use him much as a receiver doesn’t mean he’s not good at it.
“Not a great pass catcher….”
Texans constantly raved about his hands… Love this signing, versatile player… If Chip is bringing New England concepts, Casey could be Aaron Hernandez-lite.
Other moves also deserve applause – low risk, high reward moves. Exactly what the Eagles should be doing…
Now if we could just go back in time and cut Vick.
Didn’t realize that. All I know is that I saw him drop some passes in some Texans games last year. I took to small of a sample size to make that statement lol.
