dallascowboydishingthereal that is some of the most retarded babble I have read on here. How is Jerry Jones smart for wanting to sign Nnamdi but not landing him. Also the Eagles didn’t go 2-14. I have a feeling you forgot your meds.

Oh my bad. The Eagles had a much more respectable 4 wins last season. That's way better.

I will attempt to explain it to you since based on your name, whcih list every lousy eagle QB in history, you're clearly a little slow.

Jerry would have made yet another bad FA signing had you idiots not pushed him out of the way and signed Asomug. The eagles kept Jerry from making himself look bad.

Now settle down and get back to bed. Your mommy is waiting on you.

Samuel left. Asomugha left. DRC is about to leave. These guys did not look very good at times in Philly. Surely they can’t all be terrible/chopped liver at the same time. I think there is more to do with Philly’s circus than their ability to play.

Reid-ling brothers Laurie and Grossman Circus is Over.

Cooklyn, thanks for taking our Scraps in Jenkins!
BTW, We still own the Giants even if we haven't wona superbowl. We still own your A$$!!!

Only the Eagles could sign an all world CB and in a couple years strip him down to an unemployed bum. And then have the audacity to get on PFT and take a run at Jerry Jones.

Spend a fortune on a dream team (love that term 4getu-dbag) and have last place in the east and a 2-14 record to show for it. Nice job.

Congratulations Eagles you made Jerry look like a genius. He was going to sign Asomugha.

The Dream Team consisted of adding a 30 year old Nnamdi Asomugha who had already been in the league for 8-9 years, Babin, another guy who had been tossed around and 30 years old…Cullen Jenkins, another 30 year old. Not much of a dream team honestly. Nursing home.

Flavordave and logicalredskin have to be the same guy. Who is the sad Giants or Cowboys fan out there?

Yeah, they're definitely the same guy. Mr. Wright 212 and boysroll are, respectively, the comparable Giants and Cowboys fans, but they aren't logicalvoice/flavordave.

I'd be super leery of signing this guy. The talk of "he was used incorrectly!" garbage is just that...flaming garbage.

In Oakland he saw roughly half as many targets as the other corner (Chris Johnson) in his hey day yet had about league average pass defended ratio (compared to Johnson who was well above average). And they couldn't stop the run. Why throw at Asomugha when you could light up Johnson? Asomugha certainly wasn't snagging a ton of INTs.

I posit Asomugha was simply the better of two CBs on a D that couldn't defend the run, so teams: 1) didn't need to throw a ton and 2) threw way more at the worse CB.

Asomugha constantly got compared to Revis by the media, but Revis had far, far better CB defensive stats (yards/completion was 20% lower than Asomugha from 2008-2010; completions per attempt 25% lower).

In essence, Asomugha was more hype than ability in my mind, and was shown up when he lined up next to a more competent CB.

most of you don't understand defensive scheme and fit.

Nnamdi nearly exclusively played press man coverage for the Raiders during his best years as a Corner. That was per Al Davis's directive to his coaches to play predominantly man coverage.

Nmandi plays press man coverage probably better than any other corner in the league. But he doesn't play off man (which makes playing him as a Nickelback unfeasible), press zone or deep zone (Cover 3 or Quarters for example).

So if your team's defense has a use for an exclusive press man corner, than Nnandi your guy. But most teams mix up their coverages to certain degrees so it sort of limits who use him.

The Dream Team consisted of adding a 30 year old Nnamdi Asomugha who had already been in the league for 8-9 years, Babin, another guy who had been tossed around and 30 years old...Cullen Jenkins, another 30 year old. Not much of a dream team honestly. Nursing home.
