When is this alleged World Championship that they won? Are you counting the NFL Championship the year they lost (what history and everyone else outside of Minnesota recognizes as the real World Championship) to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl? By that logic, does that give the Packers 2 more World Championships in addition to their victories in Super Bowl I & II? So we’re up to 15 now? I like the way you revise things!

The Vikings are the longest-existing team in any of the 4 major North American sports leagues to have never won the ultimate title game in their sport. Nice.

Actually Jolly had a 14oz of soda and 4 oz of cough syrup. In Texas they measure the entire drink/package and not the actual drug content.

Some of the best employees I have hired were ex-cons looking for a second chance when nobody else would look at them twice. Hard workers…not all, but many. I hope he falls into the category of taking advantage of a second lease on life. He would be a great addtion…if he is in decent shape.

If Jolly committed a violent crime. I would agree with dumping him (battery, shooting, killing dogs, raping, etc). But drugs are an addiction, as is drinking, smoking, etc. They do deserve a second chance, however, he is on his third.

Jolly may or may not have anything left, but with the Packers very needy on the DL it doesn’t hurt to find out. He’s getting a very rare third chance in life. I hope he realizes it and acts accordingly.

I also believe that with Worthy being out a bit this season with an injury they do need the depth,

The only knuckleheads like this the Packers will take are those directly connected to Ted Thompson – Koren Robinson being a previous one. Unlikely he makes the team.

Thompson drafted Jolly.

This isn’t a foolish move by Thompson nor is it a stroke of genius. The risk:reward ratio on this one is extremely low. Nothing to lose by taking a look at the guy. Given that he’s been out of football for more than three years, it seems highly unlikely he will see the field again. Jolly is like any other street free agent. The Pack just gets a free look at him before anyone else.

Gotta laugh at the “always right” packer fans. when their team can’t or won’t sign someone, it’s “good ridance” but when they do something like bringing a drug dealing felon back it becomes “all for giving him a second chance”….but when it’s one of the other 31 teams, packer fans ridicule the hell out of them. Here’s hoping they do sign the felon. Packer fans like to think they are intelligent football fans but the rest of the league’s fans know just a little bit better than that. Go shovel those bleachers off you fools for minimum wage, it will get you your next 12pak of “milwaukee’s best”, LOL
