Yikes, $8 mil is a lot to pay an OLB.

Why do teams drastically overpay for a piece of last year's superbowl winner? Guy is a starter for an NFL team, that's it. Not even a pro-bowler, not even the best OLB on his own team, just one of the top 64ish guys at his position (disregarding 3/4 vs 4/3 scheme fits, he'd be a special teamer if he even got on the field in a 4/3).

All I can think is that maybe it's so the other guys in the locker room get to see his ring and paycheck and start to think "man, if can do that, I can too".

The good news is that Kruger is a good acquisition and the Browns have plenty of money to spend. But I'm not sure he's worth $40 million of their spending capital. How well will he perform without the other pieces of the Ravens' defensive puzzle?

We are all witnessing the worst GM job in the national football league. Ozzie signs a QB that isn't worthy of a 120 million dollar contract and gets rid of all the players that made this hack what he is for a small stretch. Kruger is going to wreak havoc on flacco and the ratbirds for years to come. WORST MOVE EVER!

Just remember the only reason Baltimore has any super bowl rings is because they stole our team.
Amazing how fans hate on someone when they leave but sing their praises when they stay. He had 1 1/2 sacks when he was recovering from an early season back injury. He got healthy and then had 7 1/2 sacks in 8-9 games. Add 4 1/2 sacks in 3 playoff games. He's a 2 year starter and still improving. If I'm a Raven fan I'm more worried over how their going to replace at least 3-4 defensive starters and Boldin. Who's gonna catch the deep prayers that Flacco threw up for grabs? I guess Ozzie couldn't spin gold from straw this off season

LOL, the Browns crack me up, this is really, really sad. It's especially sad that individuals are actually paid, and paid HANDSOMELY to make these crack-pot decisions for an "NFL" franchise. Kruger is a great puzzle piece, but that's all. LOL

Great call for both involed. Browns now probably still have a little less than 40 million left in cap space with a 5 year deal leaving them open to spend a lot more and Kruger gets a major upgrade of players around him to possibly make his numbers even better than they were last season. If the Browns add one of the top corners they could possible end up being the top defense in the leage. Horton was a miracle worker in Arizona and their defense didn't even have close to the talent that he has now.

The Browns paid money that plenty of other teams would have paid for Kruger's services. He was a good player on an average defense, but he may thrive in the Browns' defensive system. It's really easy to make speculations when the guy hasn't played a down in a Browns uniform yet. Let free agency and the season play out before you make your uninformed and biased comments.
