The Rams are keeping one of their top pass rushers from a season ago.

According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Rams and defensive end William Hayes have reached a contract agreement.

Hayes recorded a career-high seven sacks for St. Louis in 2012, third-most on the club behind Chris Long and Robert Quinn.

The 27-year-old Hayes was No. 54 on PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100. He was a fourth-round pick of Tennessee in 2008 and played four years for the Titans before joining St. Louis last season.
