The Redskins and defensive tackle Kedric Golston reached agreement on a new three-year contract on Tuesday. Golston confirmed the signing on Twitter.

According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, Golston can make as much as $5.2 million over the life of the contract, and the deal includes a $360,000 signing bonus.

Golston appeared in 16 games as a reserve in 2012, recording 16 tackles. He has started 43 career games for Washington in seven NFL seasons.

Golston, 29, has played his entire career in Washington. He was a sixth-round pick in 2006.
