Report: Chiefs agree to deal with Anthony Fasano

Miami Dolphins' Fasano and Moore celebrate a touchdown against Buffalo Bills during their NFL football game in Miami Reuters

The Chiefs continue to work quickly to check off their needs, making a deal minutes after the start of the league year for tight end Anthony Fasano.

According to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star, the Chiefs agreed with the Dolphins tight end today.

That gives them a solid safety valve option for new quarterback Alex Smith and recently extended wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, to go along with what was already a good run game, and the first pick in the draft.

If the Eagles wanted him, he would be an Eagle. But he was undeserving of the wings.

He’s a good tight end, and KC will like this guy. He is a good blocker and can catch the ball too. Good job KC!

An average starting tight end across the board. He’d be a great #2.

THis is far more than an average starting tight end. He is one of the top tight ends in the league when you factor in his blocking.

Andy Reid is starting to get himself a nice team to coach this upcoming season. With a couple more FA additions, a solid draft, I can see them being much more improved this year.

Solid if unspectacular but that’s what 90% of a good team will be anyway.

Chiefs look like they really wanna make Arrowhead the toughest place to play by fielding a solid team to go along with the fans.

Excellent endeavour in the Chiefs quest for average-dom. Alex Smith! Anthony Fasano! 8-8 here we come!

Good blocker. Great hands. Not the speedest guy but good pick up for chiefs.

Fasano is a team player with excellent blocking skills with solid hands. The only thing he is lacking is speed, all in all good pick up for the Chiefs and good luck to you Mr. Fasano.
