Tony Gonzalez authorizes contract talks

Remember when the 2012 season looked like it would be Tony Gonzalez‘s last in the NFL?

It increasingly looks like the future Hall of Fame tight end is, at the very least, strongly considering a return to the game. Jarrett  Bell of USA Today reported Tuesday that Gonzalez has given agent Tom Condon approval to negotiate a contract with the Falcons.

Gonzalez ranks as the No. 16 free agent available in PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100.

    Hard not to root for this guy. Total class act. Have to admire his dedication and how he had kept his body in such great shape as well. The Falcons will be happy to have him back I’m sure.

    The way the season ended for him I knew there was a good chance he’d come back.
