Hey genius I will make this simple. It's reported that they were sending someone to steal the opponents signals before they faced them while that team was playing another team. So they knew what each signal meant before the game. Also if you have someone on your staff designated in the 1st quarter to watch and steal signals then they write them down and between each play when the coordinator is in QB's ear he says they are sending an overload blitz here according to there signals. You act like this is impossible. It's a huge advantage. Also isn't it funny how all those close super bowl wins since then have turned into close super bowl loses without this advantage. You can't argue that bc it's how it has now played out. Without spy gate and tuck rule you have maybe 1 super bowl.

I got to hire the Broncos cap genius accountant. Somehow they have signed Manning last year to 5 yrs and $96mil deal, franchised Clady which means he will make around 10 mil minimum for this upcoming season. Signed Vasquez on day 1 of free agency for around $24 mil (5 mil in '13) , resigned Vickerson. Likely to sign Freeney and now Welker??

Not sure how that is remotely possible, but I want this guy doing my books (at least until the IRS shows up at the door)

So you are saying that at halftime of the Super Bowl the Patriots were able to go through 30 minutes of tape and find out what the different signals meant? Where were they able to do this, in the middle of the locker room? Don't you think league officials and security are also in the locker rooms during the Super Bowl. You are a typical hater who can't grasp what the Patriots were really doing which was using the tapes to figure out the opposing D coordinators tendencies for the next time the Patriots played them. Taping the signals gave no advantage during the game.

Manning’s shoulder was clearly shot by halftime in the last playoff game. He’s not the QB he used to be and I doubt he’ll make it through all 16 games this season.

He did well coming back from his neck injuries but they cause him a lot more trouble then he lets on
==================================
Did he ever say he was 100% at any point in the season? His shoulder didn't lose the game. It takes a season just to get back to football shape after a big injury for anyone. Maybe you've taken to many (nut) shots to the head to analyze anything more complex than the taste of jello.

So knowing what defense a team is calling by watching there signals, since you have been spying on them, is a small advantage? Having a good idea what play call on offense the team is looking at by watching the signals you have been taping is a small advantage? I think that's a pretty nice piece of information that gives you a good competitive advantage at the end of games especially. They won there super Bowl's by 3 pts and were last minute drives. So to me and many others that is not a small thing. Between the spygate and the "tuck rule" I would say that is a very suspect team to call a dynasty. You can't minimize the competitive advantage a team gets by seeing a signal and knowing exactly what blitz is coming and knowing how to attack it. Even if want to call it a small advantage (I disagree) . then look at the point differential in there super bowl wins. I think winning by 3 pts on game winning drives makes the "small advantage" a huge factor in super bowl history now doesn't it?

They also have not won a super bowl since they were not allowed to spy."

Fine to criticize but at least know what you're talking about.

All teams can spy. There is no nfl rule prohibiting the spying out of other team's signals. All coaches keep track of other team's signals.

There was a rule inserted prior to the 2007 season that made it illegal to shoot video from the sidelines that the Pats broke. Yes the taping made collating the information regarding other team's signals easier. No, it was not a magic telepathic system that gave them some massive advantage that the tinfoil hat and propellor beanie crowd seem to think it was.

Broncos vs Seahawks Superbowl. Calling it now if this happens

>>>

Way too much hot air in Seattle. They will crash and burn. Way too many egos brought in

Also way too much thin air in Denver. Broncos will finish 9-7 maybe 10-6 if they're lucky, especially if they lose Dumerville and anyone else on defense just to make cap space. Welker to Denver would be a mistake by both parties. I don't think BB is going to lose any sleep over this. I know I'm not.

truthfactory
Look at Manning's playoff history. He has 5 one and done's after being a top 3 seed in confrence. 21 points with the weapons he has is not enough. He is getting paid top 3 QB money meaning you can't lose at home in playoffs after a bye. Watching game you could see Manning was a little off. Also Brady has proven enough times in his career that he is much more clutch than manning. Heck I would take Eli over Payton in the playoffs anytime.

P.S. I am not a Pats or Broncos fan so just giving an objective perspective

The talking heads proclaimed the Patriots either dead or in serious trouble after they dumped Randy Moss as well.
Ask yourselves this: could $9-10M a season be better allocated?

Message#2 all this talk about we can't afford to sign welker because of the ramifications it could cause when it comes time to sign decker&Thomas is understandable but let's not forget the window to win is small maybe 3 years tops you have to go for it now and when it comes time to resign Thomas or Decker you can always release welker or whomever is under performing this is the NFL,but you gotta get a Super Bowl out of it...

Please, They are the Yankees of the NFL. The only thing the do every year is buy a Super Bowl championship. They can no longer CHEAT to get them. The only problem for them now is they are not acting fast enough to get who they want. The other team that has not won anything in 20 years is beating them to it (Bolden and Reed). So keep it up Winers, keep moving faster…… It’s EGO time, enjoy it Billicheat.

Funny how everyone says manning choked in the playoffs this year. He put up 21 points (should have been 24 if not for missed fg). While Brady and company put up a measely 13 points against the same team.

Broncos had the Ravens beat had it not been for a miracle hail mary, while "mr clutch" tom bradys team wasnt even close to winning their game.

The Pats have been way too quiet in free agency so far. Maybe there actually is something to the story of them flirting with the idea of going after Victor Cruz. Brandon Lloyd has Tom Condon as an agent too and they managed to work out a deal last year.

How do the Broncos have the space to sign Welker to a market deal? This would certainly mean Dumerville is gone. As a rival fan, I'd much prefer facing a team that thought an aging WR who'd be third on the depth chart was more important than one of the better pass rushers in the league in the middle of his prime.
