Hey genius I will make this simple. It’s reported that they were sending someone to steal the opponents signals before they faced them while that team was playing another team. So they knew what each signal meant before the game. Also if you have someone on your staff designated in the 1st quarter to watch and steal signals then they write them down and between each play when the coordinator is in QB’s ear he says they are sending an overload blitz here according to there signals. You act like this is impossible. It’s a huge advantage. Also isn’t it funny how all those close super bowl wins since then have turned into close super bowl loses without this advantage. You can’t argue that bc it’s how it has now played out. Without spy gate and tuck rule you have maybe 1 super bowl.

So you are saying that at halftime of the Super Bowl the Patriots were able to go through 30 minutes of tape and find out what the different signals meant? Where were they able to do this, in the middle of the locker room? Don’t you think league officials and security are also in the locker rooms during the Super Bowl. You are a typical hater who can’t grasp what the Patriots were really doing which was using the tapes to figure out the opposing D coordinators tendencies for the next time the Patriots played them. Taping the signals gave no advantage during the game.

Manning’s shoulder was clearly shot by halftime in the last playoff game. He’s not the QB he used to be and I doubt he’ll make it through all 16 games this season.

He did well coming back from his neck injuries but they cause him a lot more trouble then he lets on

Did he ever say he was 100% at any point in the season? His shoulder didn’t lose the game. It takes a season just to get back to football shape after a big injury for anyone. Maybe you’ve taken to many (nut) shots to the head to analyze anything more complex than the taste of jello.

So knowing what defense a team is calling by watching there signals, since you have been spying on them, is a small advantage? Having a good idea what play call on offense the team is looking at by watching the signals you have been taping is a small advantage? I think that’s a pretty nice piece of information that gives you a good competitive advantage at the end of games especially. They won there super Bowl’s by 3 pts and were last minute drives. So to me and many others that is not a small thing. Between the spygate and the “tuck rule” I would say that is a very suspect team to call a dynasty. You can’t minimize the competitive advantage a team gets by seeing a signal and knowing exactly what blitz is coming and knowing how to attack it. Even if want to call it a small advantage (I disagree) . then look at the point differential in there super bowl wins. I think winning by 3 pts on game winning drives makes the “small advantage” a huge factor in super bowl history now doesn’t it?

Statistically, (Thomas, Decker, and Welker; 297 rec, 3852 yds, 29 tds) had combined better stats than Green Bay’s top 4 receivers (Jones, Cobb, Nelson, Finley; 255 rec, 3150 yds, 31 tds). With the exception of 2tds of course.

All teams can spy. There is no nfl rule prohibiting the spying out of other team’s signals. All coaches keep track of other team’s signals.

There was a rule inserted prior to the 2007 season that made it illegal to shoot video from the sidelines that the Pats broke. Yes the taping made collating the information regarding other team’s signals easier. No, it was not a magic telepathic system that gave them some massive advantage that the tinfoil hat and propellor beanie crowd seem to think it was.

Also way too much thin air in Denver. Broncos will finish 9-7 maybe 10-6 if they’re lucky, especially if they lose Dumerville and anyone else on defense just to make cap space. Welker to Denver would be a mistake by both parties. I don’t think BB is going to lose any sleep over this. I know I’m not.
