Ed Reed should finish a Raven. There should be veteran exceptions with the cap to keep guys like Urlacher and Reed with their teams. Even if it was an extreme amount if years like 10 with the same franchise.

Living in baltimore, I might be in the minority on this, but I wouldn’t be all that upset if Reed left… This isn’t the same Ed Reed from a few years back. Maybe it’s his neck injuries, but he can’t tackle ANYTHING and he’s at a point in his career where his overly aggressive chance taking for picks is now actually a detriment to the team. He takes way too many chances that he just doesn’t have the physical ability to make up for anymore…

The difference between Polamalu and Reed is Troy can stuff the run. Reed is afraid to tackle RBs and plays centerfield. Troy is a complete safety. Reed knows how to pad his numbers.

Look for highlights of run stuffing. You won’t see any from Reed. You see plenty from Troy.

Ed Reed would be a great addition to the Texans. He knows how to work and he knows how to win.
If I’m Houston, he does not get back on a plane without ink on a contract. Some of these proven winner players need to be getting paid for leadership skills as well.
I’m not a Houston/Ed Reed fan, but Houston is so close to really making BIG playoff noise.

Flacco’s cap number is under 7 million this season, less then it was last season. By the time Flacco’s cap number spikes, Ed Reed will have retired from the NFL, same goes for Anquan Boldin. But lets not let facts get in the way…

As a Ravens fan, he should test the waters and get all the leverage he can…you guys just don’t get it, these players need to make as much money as they can with the punishment their bodies take.

Reed has a ring and I have no problem with him chasing money elsewhere. I am a Ravens fan, but I do understand the NFL is a business without much financial regard to the players, as with other pro sports.
