The good NFL front offices are the ones who don’t let emotions make decisions.

The Giants gave a perfect example of that, signing free agent kicker Josh Brown Wednesday to replace Lawrence Tynes, according to Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger.

Tynes hit NFC Championship Game overtime game-winners to help the Giants to a pair of Super Bowls, and shouldn’t struggle to find work.

Brown’s likely a cheaper alternative, but a solid one. He won December special teams player of the month honors for the Bengals will filling in for the injured Mike Nugent, after losing his Rams job to Greg Zuerlein and the Jets job to Nick Folk last offseason.
