Getty ImagesOK, this Glover Quin thing is getting a little ridiculous.
First we had the report that the Lions signed Quin, a free agent safety from Houston. Then we had the report that the Lions haven’t really signed Quin.
Now Tim Twentyman, the lead writer for the Lions’ website, is saying a five-year deal between the Lions and Quin really is done.
Lions have agreed to terms on a five-year deal with S Glover Quin, according to league source.

But wait! Tania Ganguli of the Houston Chronicle reported that the Texans still had a chance to keep Quin. But then Ganguli passed along the report from the Lions’ website, which would seem to be official.
So we think Quin really is a Lion. Perhaps the Lions can avoid any confusion by sending white smoke through the chimney of the team facility when Quin signs his contract.

I get it. Because of the Pope.
I’ve heard reports that the Packers have signed SJax on the radio. Any truth to this?
Oh well.
I feel better. This is a more important signing than Bush.
Add another safety and maybe a corner and the lions secondary is looking up…thank you mayhew
Taking Glover from the Texans……is possibly the move that will save both Mayhew and J. Schwartz. There is no way the Lions offered that much more money than the Texans. Cause we don’t have it. So he CHOSE, like Reggie Bush, to come to a 4-12 team. Players must like Schwartz and our coaches and Calvin and Stafford. A good QB is more important to most FA’s than anything else. And Houston doesn’t have a good QB
Plus Glover really knows the Lions beat the Texans on Thanksgiving day.
I wouldn’t thank Mayhew, he drafted a guy with a torn ACL in the 2nd Round last year. These signings are the work of the future Lions GM Brian Xanders.
THE GREAT DETROIT LIONS just keep getting better on their way to the Super Bowl.
13-3 this year.
He for sure signed there is a photo of quinn signing his contract on the lions facebook page
There’s plenty of smoke in Detroit…..
Tania Ganguli is a Svenguli and John McClain protege….one is a horror show host and the other is and idiot .
What did Omar Kelly say? That’s good as gold
Lions fans need to put down their government-issued smart phones and get back in the unemployment line.
Now trade Suh for Revis straight up and call it a day.
Suh is leaving anyway when his contact is up, so is Revis.
Both are considered high end talent.
There is no such thing as “exact equal value” when swapping people and picks but why not swap 2 malcontents?
You couldn’t pay me to go work in Detroit…. Not even 5 years 25 milion.
Kpow55 I was in the same boat as you until suh is the reason we even got these guys cause he restructured his deal. They also are going to start looking at an extension with suh and a Stafford restructure to clear more cap space next year.
