OK, this Glover Quin thing is getting a little ridiculous.

First we had the report that the Lions signed Quin, a free agent safety from Houston. Then we had the report that the Lions haven’t really signed Quin.

Now Tim Twentyman, the lead writer for the Lions’ website, is saying a five-year deal between the Lions and Quin really is done.

But wait! Tania Ganguli of the Houston Chronicle reported that the Texans still had a chance to keep Quin. But then Ganguli passed along the report from the Lions’ website, which would seem to be official.

So we think Quin really is a Lion. Perhaps the Lions can avoid any confusion by sending white smoke through the chimney of the team facility when Quin signs his contract.
