I’m a Pats fan but look there’s only so much any team will be able to do with the mess left behind by Tanny. Looks like Idzik is doing his best with what was left for him. Kind of like Grigson did last year with Polian’s mess.

Idzik is working magic thus far. Mike T. would have NEVER went to these guys to restruct.

I hear we are now somewhere at 16M UNDER the cap now. For a team in “cap hell”, it is looking better. Sanchez and Holmes off the books next season is GREAT! Keep it up Idzik.

Idzik has been impressive and thanks to Holmes and Cromartie restructuring this helps the Jets a lot. The hate wagon’s wheels are slowly coming off and all I can do is laugh at you knowledge-less know-it-alls.

How about…….you just say…….”The jets salary cap problems were way overblown, Bart Scott should’ve been let go 2 years ago, Jason Smith has never seen the field, and Calvin Pace is below average”

If we were a smart organization, all these cap maneuvers would be with the goal of resigning Revis in mind. The fact that this train (wreck) is being driven by Woody just means we’re going to sell off our best asset at 50 cents on the dollar, but hey Jets fans cheer up. We still have Sanchez. Woody, Wilpons, Dolan…. Why does the best city have the dumbest owners?

This is a smart move for the Jets who will be without Sanchez and Revis next year. So they should have plenty of cap space next year!

What is strange is how Sanchez has yet agreed to restructure his contract. Clearly he does not want to reduce the Jets cap hit because he does not want them to bring in competition like Fitz or Campbell.

Amazing talent, If he was smart he would of refuse restructuring of the contract to be released so he can venture off to a team with REAL promise.

well worth it. he played well this past year and it makes sense to do whatever it takes to clear 2013 cap space. let’s see what they do with it.

The Jets are about 15 million under the cap now after cutting Pouha and restructuring Holmes and Cromartie’s deals. Jets take a 3 million dollar cap hit when they trade Revis.

The NY Jets remind me of a 3-ring circus both on and off the field…and this bag of doosh fits right in.

If the owner were smart, he would turn the page on both Rex Ryan, and Mark Sanchez in favor of a fresh start with some fresh thinking. They need to change the culture of that team and nothing would ensure that more than giving the QB and Head Coach the axe.
