Shonn Greene to join Titans

The Titans have landed a bruising inside runner to complement Chris Johnson.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that the Titans and Jets free agent running back Shonn Greene have come to terms on a three-year, $10 million contract.

Greene, who seems certain to be the Titans’ top reserve back, ranks No. 94 in PFT’s free agent rankings.

Greene, 28, has exceeded 1,000 yards rushing in each of the last two seasons for the Jets, getting more than 250 carries in each of those campaigns. He would figure to get less work in Tennessee, but he could serve a couple important purposes for the Titans as a solid short-yardage and late-game option.

  1. He wanted nothing to do with NFC and having to face the Eagles. How can anyone possibly stop Chip Kellys intricate offense? The answer is that you cant.

You are an IDIOT! All your team does is keep dumping good guys! You and Redskin fans are DELUSIONAL!

  3. Solid pick up for the Titans, he’ll help out Chris Johnson a lot late in the game. Opposing defenses are gonna be tie-herrrrrrd.

  4. He was horrible as a starter(even factoring in having Sanchez at QB) but might be good as a backup workhorse guy.

As a long time reader and a recent subscriber I always knew there were some wacky comments out there.
But… I didn’t realize they were all from the same 2 delusional dudes. Absolutely comical!
Ha Ha Ha Ha Crazy talk!

  6. I’m a Jets fan who has seen every carry by Shonn Greene while he has been in the NFL.

    1. He lacks vision and does not hit the holes like an NFL RB should.

    2. He can’t catch…..stonehands.

    3. He can’t accelerate fast enough from taking the handoff to getting to the LOS, resulting in way too many 1-2 yard runs.

He looked good as a rookie behind the best offensive line in 09 (Mangold, Ferguson, Faneca, Woody, Moore) with a few big gains.

    Titans….you overpaid.

  7. Jets fans act like they are glad he’s gone. He had two in a row 1,000 yard seasons. He can’t be that bad. But at least Rex and Sanchez are still there for you….

  8. Once again, my comments albeit polite, yet truthful, have been deleted.
    That makes me feel good.
I’ll always believe facts are pesky things.
