The Titans have landed a bruising inside runner to complement Chris Johnson.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that the Titans and Jets free agent running back Shonn Greene have come to terms on a three-year, $10 million contract.

Greene, who seems certain to be the Titans’ top reserve back, ranks No. 94 in PFT’s free agent rankings.

Greene, 28, has exceeded 1,000 yards rushing in each of the last two seasons for the Jets, getting more than 250 carries in each of those campaigns. He would figure to get less work in Tennessee, but he could serve a couple important purposes for the Titans as a solid short-yardage and late-game option.
