New Eagles defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga, freshly arrived from San Francisco, went all in during his introductory press conference. “I believe and I promise that we are going to shock the world,” Sopoaga said, via Jordan Raanan of NJ.com.
There’s nothing wrong with enthusiasm. But it’s important for teams to manage expectations. Setting the bar too high in the offseason and not making it can be a lot worse than having a lower target and easily clearing it.
Today, Sopoaga pushed the bar higher than anyone expected it to be in Philly this year.

Ok ice is a much better player then vince young but its just best to keep your mouth shut.. im an eagles fan and would be shocked ro see them in the playoffs. I do expect them to be much improved but in astrong division and being in the nfc its a tough road. So if your gunna shock me make the playoffs.
They shocked the world last season by sucking so hard. Another beast defensive lineman in the NFC East… No way… I’m pretty sure this doesn’t fix everything for the Shegles.

I will forever HATE Vince Young with a passion for labeling the Birds the “Dream Team”, before he or the team played one snap. By far one of the dumbest comments in the history of sport. VY has shown that he is a total hack, with no legs, no arm, and no brains. Can’t believe a totally irrelevant bust has plagued the Eagles franchise for more than two seasons with this media fodder.

As an Eagles fan I wish all free agents would shut up. Yes with Chip there’s reason for excitement. There’s a good chance the offense improves dramatically but this defense is switching schemes and that’s going to take more then a season.
It never ends:
Eagles thinking they are going to win a superbowl.
