Here’s yet another indication that the Broncos could be serious about adding Wes Welker.

Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe reported Wednesday that Welker was “very likely” to sign with Denver, according to an unnamed league source the veteran NFL writer quoted.

The 31-year-old Welker hauled in 118 passes for 1,354 yards and six touchdowns in 2012 for New England. His addition to the Broncos’ offense -- were it to happen -- would strengthen an already exceptional passing game led by future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.
