With a vacancy for a backup quarterback, and apparently for a former Ohio State star, the Bengals have started poking around the free agent market.

According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals brought quarterback Josh Johnson and wide receiver Ted Ginn in for visits Thursday.

Ginn was extraneous in San Francisco, but would fill a need in Cincinnati with his speed and return ability (considering that Brandon Tate is a free agent).

Johnson finished last season with the Browns, but the former Jim Harbaugh project from the University of San Diego is an option after Bruce Gradkowski left for the Steelers earlier this week.
