These guys will listen to the Jets offers, but when they find out Sanchez has a “leg up” on the competition it’s, see ya, and who can blame them. The Jets will have to overwhelm these guys with money to get them to sign, they’re losing players left and right, two yesterday and one so far today, do you think they know something? Another long year for the Jets is on the way.

What the intellectually challanged that live to throw barbs at the Jets don’t realize is that Gibson was used by the Jets to force Holmes into a 3.5 million dollar pay cut.

Hell, the Jets new GM and Ryan never even meet with Gibson as they were at the Alabama Pro Day.

Jets went from double digits over the cap to more than 15 million under. If you look even closer, they are closer to 20 Million under with the top 51.

BTW Jet haters: With the additions of Gerrard and Kolb, plus 15 Million under gives them enough room to dump Sanchez this year instead of next. I’d suggest stopping to think before you post, but that requires the ability.

You guys went 7-9, and that was a great season for miami
Jets go 6-10 and that was a horrible season

Gibson would be a bigger, faster slot option then Bess and considering Bess can’t get in the end zone Gibson may be the better option. Bess only has 1 more year on his deal, and while Bess is a solid player, he has no upside. Gibson can be a solid 2 or 3 & Bess simply put is a 3. Swap out Bess for Gibson, and continue to upgrade the team. Not settling for FGs anymore that’s the point.

Of course he left without a deal, if the jets don’t grossly over pay for him compared to Miami he will play for less or the same amount in Miami. Sorry jets fans but you’re the new lions, cardinals, Pittsburgh pirates etc.

Don’t understand the interest the phins have in him. Hes not a big guy or a fast guy. He may compete for our #3 but Bess has better hands so unless hes the 4th wr I don’t see how hes gonna hlep.

I definitely think he would be a nice #2 or #3 WR for the Dolphins. If Miami does sign Gibson they can at least focus on other positions with their draft picks. I’m not sure why no one is inquiring about giving up a 2nd round pick for Denario Alexander? The guy is a beast and would be the red-zone threat the Dolphins sorely lack. Having two 2nd round pick would make it sting a lot less. Wallace, Alexander, Hartline, and Bess would be a great young WR core.

The realistic move the jets has to do this season is, suck as much as possible to get #1 pick, save salary cap and try to come back next season. The improved Dolphins and the usual division bully -Patriots- won’t let them have any success this season.

Many Dolphins fans won’t like this but I can see the Dolphins signing Gibson, moving Hartline to the slot and trading/releasing Bess.
