I assume that "romowhateverhisnameis" talking about making zone blocking scheme illegal is referring to the rule about not going low on a peel back or while you're facing your endline? Dude, what the hell does that have to do with zone blocking? Are you logicalvoices brother? They're not the same thing. Not even the same species or phylum.

I could not be happier about the field maintenance rule. Chris Clemons blew out his knee at fed ex during the wild card game without being touched when he stepped in a gopher hole. While Redskin fans were probably happy it took out Seattle's only viable pass rusher & sack leader. At 31 years old who knows if he'll get that explosive 1st step back all because of bush league maintenance. You'd think the skins would've at least prepared that field for the playoffs. Instead the lost their qb & we lost our pass rush. Disgraceful.

For the Redskins fans claiming they're team is being singled out by the field condition rule proposal (and stop being so thin skinned; Dan Snyder should be able to afford more than green dirt), has your team ever had to cancel a scrimmage because your field was so bad it was LIKELY to cause injury? The Bears had to at Soldier Field! At least your owner owns your stadium!

Cooley, Kleinsasser and Clark all went through the combine and were drafted as RBs (or fullbacks if you prefer). Such a designation "requires" them to be issued a number between 20-49. They were later switched to TE or H-back but allowed to keep their numbers rather than switch to 80-89. No, Synder is constantly trying to screw over the Landover redskins. Enjoy being the third best team in Maryland, behind the WORLD CHAMPION BALTIMORE RAVENS, and the Terps.

This coming from the Cleveland Ravens fan!! What a douche!! HaHa!! Good luck trying to repeat!! Do you even have any players left on defense !! It's like rats jumping off a sinking ship!!

so are they going to create mandatory size for these thigh and knee pads. the players are going to cut foam knee pads into a silver dollar sized wafer to comply with the rule. man, I hope the owners get what is coming to them. I would love to see them destroy the game to the point where they avoid the lawsuits but that franchise values dip because no one is watching since they are not playing legit tackle football anymore

I disagree with rule change proposals #2 and #6.

Re: #2 - How many long snappers have been injured in the last decade? Probably one or two at best (if the number is more significant then my opinion will adapt accordingly). Personally I feel this reduces the already unlikely scenario of a blocked punt/kick.

Re: #6 - The role of offense is to act and the role of the defense is to react. Impeding how a runner can move seems illogical. Defenseless players on defense are already protected from illegal hits, and too many plays get called back because of dumb penalties away from the play. Could you imagine an AP 50 yarder in a playoff game getting called back because he lowered at the end of the run and the top of his helmet his a player??? That's just how runs are finished.

A player protecting the football should be able to do whatever he likes since at that moment 11 people are trying to murder him.

I don’t the National Fixed League. They think they’re slick trying to constantly screw over the Washington Redskins.

Are you freaking kidding me? FedEx Field single-handedly DESTROYED your QB's knee...

I would think ALL Redskin fans would cheer that addition!

Why do we call #1 the Jim Schwartz rule - this is the John Mara rule --- he came up with it and advanced it through the committee....

I guess Mara finally doesn't want to be associated with arbitrary rule changes that make little sense in retrospect -- imagine that.
