APAfter a slow start to the market, another cornerback has picked a new home.
According to Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego, the Chargers have agreed to terms with former Jaguars cornerback Derek Cox.
San Diego intercepted (pun not intended but I’m too lazy to change it) Cox before a Thursday visit with the Saints. Cox was due to visit the Chargers on Friday.
The deal hinges on Cox passing a physical on Thursday.

The 233rd ranked DB in the draft
At least two of the three teams he has to play in that division will be good for him…
Wow exciting Telesco. Good work smh
Any Jags fan have any input on him?
Bound to be an upgrade at corner.
Yes!!!!!! We finally did something right great physical corner.
there goes the Jags hope for the ring
Chargers secondary just got instantly better. LOVE this signing.
Hopefully all the CBs find a home before Keenan Lewis does, and he comes back to the steelers.
A shudder just went down the spines of Manning, Thomas, Decker and Welker……..Not!
he had 4 interceptions and led the league in lowest completion percantage at 44.5 when thrown to him just saying
Good CB but made of glass.

Donks will win 14 games in the regular season and be 1 and done in the playoffs …. again.
He’s good when he’s on the field, which is rare!! The dude is fragile! From a Jag fan, good riddance
Chargers fans are so desperate for a free agent signing that they actually think this is a good acquisition. Bahahahahaha! Hilarious!
Good solid corner when he is healthy…and i stress WHEN he is healthy..tends to get burned by elite recievers though.
great cb just needs to stay healthy
Good player when he is on the field…but has gotten hurt EVERY year. He cannot be counted on for 16 games….he CAN be counted on to miss at least 4 games every year….which is why Jags let him go…definitely can play though…
Good corner, but the guy couldn’t stay on the field. Very, very injury prone. That is why the Jags let him walk…
I’m a Jags fan and have watched Derek Cox for several years. When healthy, he’s a very good but not great CB. He covers pretty well, and is a very good tackler. But he is often injured. IF he stays healthy, the Chargers got a good corner at a good price.
So he goes from the most irrelevant team in the league to the NFL’s farm league?
