Boxer Floyd Mayweather is known for his love of high-stakes gambling. But he didn’t love having money riding on the infamous Seahawks-Packers “Fail Mary” game that led to the end of the officials’ lockout.

In an interview on Jim Rome on Showtime, Mayweather said he gambled $900,000 on the Packers to beat the Seahawks in that game, which Seattle won on a Hail Mary on the last play -- a play that most observers thought should have been ruled both offensive pass interference on the Seahawks and a game-clinching interception by the Packers, but that the replacement officials ruled a game-winning touchdown catch by Seattle’s Golden Tate.

“That was 900 grand,” Mayweather said. “I was upset.”

Packers fans know how he feels.
