Anthony Spencer is not worth the price of the franchise tender. However, I would argue that Henry Melton who is a DT and not a DE is worth it since his tender is about $2 million less.

Are you saying that Jerry Jones made a bad business decision? Clearly I’m misunderstanding you because Jerry doesn’t do that type of thing. Just ask the cowboys draft class of 2009 or Roy Williams or Joey Galloway or 1st round picks Sherman Williams, Shante Carver, Ebenezer Ekuban, Bobby Carpenter, David LaFleur, Robert Jones, Kevin Smith, Kelvin Pritchett, Marcus Spears, Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins and Terrence Williams
