Jean Francois leaves Philly without contract

Former 49ers defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga has vowed that his new team, the Eagles, will “shock the world.”  One of Sopoaga’s former teammates in San Fran isn’t ready to sign on to the movement.

Defensive lineman Ricky Jean Francois left Philadelphia on Wednesday night without a contract, according to Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com.

Per Mosher, it’s unlikely that Jean Francois will sign with the team.

The Eagles need defensive ends to play the 3-4 defense that new coach Chip Kelly is installing.

So the “shock the world” thing is coming to come up every time Florio writes about the Eagles, huh? Shocker.

As an Eagles fan could Philadelphia Eagles players just shut up and play!? Im sick of all the Dream Team and Shock the World crap. The team hasn’t done anything in 2 years

Just know Sopoaga that Justin Smith made you look a lot better than you are so unless you have another Justin Smith to play next to the Eagles won’t be shocking anybody in a positive way.

Just come back home and play behind your old mate, at LSU, Dorsey.

Every player than signs with a new team has an introductory press conference. Every player is asked about his feelings on his new team. Every player is asked what his expectations are for his new team. Every player makes some sort of positive statement in that regard. But ONLY Philadelphia players have that quote follow them and the rest of the team in every single little story about the team. Its pathetic.

He was active for the SB, only played a few snaps though.

As a 49ers fan I really want him to come back, even with the addition of Dorsey.

He sure played well in Justin Smiths absence last year it was quoted that it was almost like Justin Smith was still there thats pretty impressive and when you have a guy like Justin Smith are you going to just pull him and put someone else in his position come on man really

Ask aldon smith if he would rather play across from this ricky or justin. he didn’t have too many sacks with this guy in there. no one doubled ricky. everyone double justin. just some real football knowledge for ya.

The guy was smart, he looked at a 4-12 team, that changed coaches, is changing schemes without the right personnel, and realized this team will be lucky to be 4-12 next year. They might as well look to see if they can sign Bobby Hoying because 3-13 here we come. Fans thought last year was bad just wait till 2013!!!!!
