Getty ImagesWe’ve reached Day Two of Dolphins free agent offensive tackle Jake Long‘s stay in St. Louis. And as the third day of free agency rolls along, there’s plenty of focus on whether one of PFT’s top unsigned free agents changes addresses.
According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Long remains at Rams headquarters, head coach Jeff Fisher said Thursday. Also, Thomas noted that Fisher is optimistic a deal can be struck.
Per Thomas, Fisher also indicated that the club has talked to incumbent left tackle Rodger Saffold about moving to the other side. Fisher indicated the team hasn’t communicated with Saffold’s representation on the potential switch, Thomas reported.
“What I’m concerned about right now is Rodger — and Rodger’s fine,” Fisher said, per Thomas.
