Most fans don’t believe Ponder was the answer and the worst thing that can happen here is he FORCES Ponder to play at a higher level. If Ponder does, great, kudos to him for stepping up. Additionally, if there is a serviceable backup, maybe that takes some of the pressure off Ponder.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but if M B-T and Joe Webb were my back-ups, I’d have felt the weight of the world too.

Or….apparently you don’t watch much of his tape or are blinded by purple shades.

9 games less than 200 yards passing and 2 less than 100. Misses easy 3 yard passes at times. Only looks at one read most of the time. That is what I see from him so far. I willadmit he came through with 2 big throws against the Packers in week 17 when it counted. So, there is hope from him. However, there is nothing from his play by real time or tape that shows he is a capable consistent starter in this league yet.
