Marginal, at best, backup safety. Bad things happen when he’s pressed into the lineup for any length of time.

Mundy was out of control and jumped way down into the box on the infamous Tebow overtime play in the 2011 playoffs. He was only in the game because Ryan Clark can’t play in the Denver altitude, but he got burned continually in that game.

Go back and look at last year’s Oakland game when he was again pressed into the starting lineup. Ugly, at best.

Best of luck, wherever he lands. I’m just glad it most likely won’t be in Pittsburgh. This is one of those addition by subtraction scenarios.
