Sean Smith will be viewed as being a horrible pickup in KC by some just because it looks like Reid is trying to build another Dream Team.
Man that has Andy Reid written all over it. Its his M.O.

1st it was Bobby Taylor, Troy Vincent, and Al Harris,

Then Sheldon Brown, Lito Sheppard, and Asante Samuel

Then Sheldon Brown, Ellis Hobbs, and Asante Samuel

Then, Asante Samuel, Nnamdi Asomugha, and Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie

Now Brandon Flowers, Daunta Robinson, and Sean Smith

The Guy Loves having 3 high caliber Cb on his roster. You would htink he would have learned his lesson by now, 1st Al Harris becomes unhappy and leaves, then Lito Sheppard becomes a distraction and is traded the next year, then Sheldon Brown becomes disgruntled and is traded the next year, then Asante becomes a locker room problem and is traded the next year, and now he's attempting it again but in a different city? The guy is the definition of insane. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.

All I got to say is watch out Flowers. When it comes to Reid and incumbent CB your time with the team is always almost over. That's been the case his entire NFL coaching career outside of Al Harris who was the least experienced member of his trio.

I think Smith has great potential and he won't be viewed as the #1, which is Flowers. I am not ready to crown the Chiefs AFC west Champs but I think these are great steps into being a competitive team in the AFC. I love this move because Smith can flourish in our D with B-Flowers opposite him. Cannot wait for the draft and the season to begin.

Chiefs Fans: Good luck with this signing. Sean Smith can make some plays but he is woefully inconsistent, cannot cover small quick receivers and he absolutely has the hardest hands of any DB I have ever seen in 50+ years of following the NFL but other than that not a bad pick up.

SMH at datmilehigh "That defense is gonna be sick now with Bradley..."

I had to stop reading there....

I live in Denver, know that team in and out and as a sad sorry life long Eagles fan I can assure you Bradley and DRC do nothing to make that defense better. Elway is ignoring holes at LB and secondary and slapping on band-aids...worn out band-aids.

Only thing you were missing is that Brooking is the future lol

Offense is sick though...no doubt

benroethlisberger7-----------Is the number at the end of your user name your actual age? Based on your writing/rants, it seems so.

We are not here to tell war stories, but to make them. Another thing to remember is that the NFL could easily stand for "Not For Long" when it comes being at the top of the heap or fan approval. So, I am sure many of us would like you to make a point, not just a boast.

For instance, KC improved this off season, but given where they are, how could they not? Or; Even with this addition and the increased defense, they are still only about an 8-8 team at best. You could even get in a shot by adding...... Yes, the Steelers have taken a few hits this off season, but they are still better on paper than KC.

Good Luck and happy writing.......

Take a 7 pt lead on the Fins and you don’t need to throw. That explains Smith’s low INT totals.

Actually, you need to watch some more football. Smith was the most target Cornerback in the NFL in 2012. He also has hands of stone. He has led the league in dropped interceptions two of four years.

The guy is still worth taking a risk on and he has lots of potential. Hopefully, Andy Reid can get it out of him.

that's their answer. Thomas will continue to pick flowers apart, Decker will abuse Smith, whoses overrated and Robinson can't hang with Welker. There isn't a defense in the league that's gonna hang with the Broncos, not with that we corps not to mention Tamme and Dresden at TE and the 3 headed rushing attack of McGahee, Moreno and Hillman. That defense is gonna be sick now with Bradley, Knighton and DRC. Good luck tryinna run on us even in nickel packages and KC still only has 1 mediocre WR and a game manager QB. KC had the best offseason? yeah right! Denver won FA by a landslide already and they will kill the draft specially if they get a pock or 2 for Doom. To make it better Osweillers gonna be a star. Broncos are gonna run that division for the next decade. Can't wait till the ravens and the patriots come into town for the playoff, revenge is gonna be sweet! Go Broncos!

A team cant be a winner or a loser in FA until, you, the SEASON STARTS. But what excites me as a Chiefs fan is that the brass are living and reacting in reality; Welker goes to DEN to complement (I hate to type this) a very good trio of WR's, so the Chiefs realize that to win the division they have to cover those guys, and they are doing their very best to try and do that. And really, Jalil Brown, Javy Arenas and even DeQuan Menzie are pretty good backup DB's too as far as depth goes.....regardless how the season goes I give Dorsey and Reid and even Clark major props for trying and trying intelligently.

Corners are one of the more over-rated positions on a defense. They are more the product of a great front 4 who doesn't allow the QB to wait on WR's to get open.

Here is the deal Chief fans. AR first 8 years in Philly were successful because he wasn't involved in FO decisions to the extent of his last 6 years. The Eagles were built through the draft. Once AR got involved in drafting and free agent decisions it became a disaster. There are no shortcuts for long term success and frankly when I see bad teams go crazy in free agency I become baffled. Most of the great teams use free agency to fill a void and it helps prevent themselves from drafting for need.

IMO the chiefs have had the best offseason so far. Yes I know its early, but they still have improved there team a bunch.

----------
As a Skins fan let me tell you getting crowned off season champion ain't what it's made out to be.

I'm sure some Philly fans would agree also.
